Our Conservation Work

Juri Peepre

Juri Peepre has more than 30 years experience in conservation and protected areas work in BC, the Yukon and Northwest Territories, offering services in:

  • Protected area assessment and planning
  • Park planning, management and design
  • Conservation research, analysis and writing
  • Conservation communications and public education
  • Conservation strategies and advocacy
  • Conservation skills training and capacity building
  • Photography, multi-media presentations

His clients have included NGOs, federal, provincial and territorial government agencies, First Nations, municipalities and industry.  Since moving from the Yukon to Windermere, BC, in the summer of 2009, Juri is continuing his conservation consulting and advocacy work, with organizations such as the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative,  TREC (Training Resources for the Environmental Community), and the Yukon Conservation Society.  Juri serves as Chair of the Wildsight Regional Council, a regional and community-based conservation organization working in the East Kootenay.

Sarah Locke has 25 years writing experience in western and northern Canada, offering services in:
